With 344 million customers and a presence in 19 countries, Movistar is redesigning its shops to adapt to new consumer trends.

Bilbao and Valencia were the chosen cities for its recently launched "Movistar Experience Stores"; pilot shops in prime locations where the company is testing its new shop concept in which technology and design are key to the in-store experience. The design will transform continuously according to the opinions of customers, whom the brand considers to be an active part of the new shop concept.

The Project

The work was carried out in the middle of the pandemic, with restrictions on opening hours and seating capacity, which complicated the work of KIMAK, who were responsible for the building work and the furnishings.

The furnishings include large interior signs, counters and backlit wooden displays that contrast with the neutral tones of the perimeter elements. A space that combines technology, harmony and warmth at the same time.

A total of 8,000 pieces have been designed and manufactured for the more than 1,000 shops carried out both in remodelling and new construction. Thanks to a 24/7 x 365 preventive and corrective maintenance service, KIMAK has become an expert in the historical change of such an emblematic and fundamental brand as Movistar.
