Pull&Bear has collaborated with KIMAK to create its new store in Manchester's Trafford Centre shopping centre, occupying more than 1.000 m2 on a single floor, where it is putting its new retail concept to the test. The project was developed against the clock, with all elements designed from scratch, representing a visible change in the brand's material and spatial language.

From the use of natural wood instead of metal finishes to a more sectorised layout, every decision has been made with the aim of creating a warmer, more sustainable and more intimate experience.

The Project

FACADE AND WINDOW DISPLAYS

Our team manufactured and installed the facade, as well as the shop windows and the interior, which extends almos three meter into the store, with a ceiling lined with wooden slats. We also developed the window displays, designed by Ion Ander Beloki, consisting of more than 150 white melamine panels assembled in a modular fashion, with a fluorine metal structure and invisible fixings.

CEILING

One of the project's key features is the natural oak slatted ceiling that extends throughout the display area. These slats cover the machined aluminum structures that hold the light fixtures.

In the accessories room and fitting room area, we installed satin steel metal ceilings.

LIGHTING AND SIGNAGE

We developed different types of light boxes (flush-mounted, cantilevered, recessed), magnetic directories, and all the signage for the space. We also manufactured freestanding illuminated shelves (with lighting on both sides) that will be incorporated as a permanent feature in future openings.

And on a decorative level, we developed and manufactured oak pendant lamps, consisting of four boxes with direct downward lighting.

FURNITURE AND SPECIAL FEATURES

Some of the furniture also bears our stamp. We designed and manufactured the polycarbonate furniture ready to integrate screens, the special chairs (one with white cylinders and a metal structure, and the other in pine wood with a fluorescent yellow finish) and some decorative elements in the fitting rooms.

A COMPLETE TECHNICAL CHALLENGE

All elements of this store were developed from scratch, which posed a challenge in terms of time, internal coordination, and technical resolution. Our experience with Pull&Bear over the years allowed us to anticipate needs and propose viable solutions. The Manchester image has been a fresh opportunity to demonstrate KIMAK's versatility, precision, and capabilities.
