Laser cutting, waterjet cutting and metal bending technology.
Hydracorte is KIMAK’s specialist metal cutting and fabrication division. We offer a wide range of services, including sheet metal laser cutting, waterjet cutting, V-Cut milling, bending and other processes tailored to the specific requirements of each project.
Years of experience have given us the expertise to handle projects of varying complexity, while maintaining consistently high standards of precision and quality throughout the entire process, from prototyping to full-scale production.
One of our key strengths is our ability to respond quickly. Thanks to the wide range of materials held in our automated warehouse, we can minimise lead times and keep production moving efficiently.
Our experienced technical team works closely with customers to understand their requirements and recommend the most effective solution for each project. Our focus is on providing a reliable, flexible and responsive service, whether for one-off jobs or ongoing production.
We provide a comprehensive range of metal cutting, forming and fabrication services, tailored to different materials, formats and project requirements.
From sheet and tube laser cutting and waterjet cutting to bending, rolling, V-Cut milling, punching and welding, we bring together a wide range of manufacturing capabilities under one roof, supporting each project from initial preparation through to the finished component.
We provide high-precision sheet metal laser cutting, with the capacity to process thicknesses of up to 25 mm in steel, 40 mm in stainless steel and 25 mm in aluminium. We also work with materials including brass, copper, galvanised steel and titanium. With a maximum working area of 4,000 × 2,000 mm, we can produce parts in a wide range of sizes, formats and levels of complexity.
Our tube laser cutting capabilities cover wall thicknesses of up to 10 mm across round, square, rectangular, oval and other profiles. We machine sections with circumscribed diameters ranging from 10 to 250 mm and lengths of up to 6 metres in a single piece. Our equipment features automatic loading, a bevel-cutting head and weld-seam detection to ensure accurate positioning during machining. We work with the same range of materials as in our sheet metal laser cutting operations.
Our high-pressure waterjet cutting process can be used with water alone or combined with abrasive media of different grain sizes, allowing us to cut a wide range of materials. These include steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, bronze, brass and titanium, as well as plastics, composites, rubber, engineered wood, granite and marble. Depending on the material, we can process thicknesses of up to 100 mm, with a maximum cutting area of 3,250 x 2,100 mm. As a cold-cutting process, waterjet cutting does not alter the material properties and produces clean, burr-free edges.
Our sheet metal rolling capabilities enable us to produce cylinders, open curves and cones in a range of radii and dimensions. We operate rolling equipment in different sizes and can process parts up to 4 metres long. This flexibility allows us to work with a variety of geometries and thicknesses, providing tailored solutions for projects requiring precision, strength and demanding forming specifications.
Tube bending is a forming process used to create a wide range of radii and geometries in round, square and rectangular tubing. Our CNC technology combines precision with speed, ensuring consistent process control and excellent repeatability. This capability allows us to respond quickly and efficiently to both prototyping requirements and series production.
Our fastener insertion process enables studs, nuts, spacers and other fastening components to be installed securely and permanently using controlled pressure. This eliminates the need for welding while ensuring accurate positioning of each fastener. The resulting joints offer high resistance to tensile and torsional forces, making the process ideal for components requiring strong and reliable fastening.
Our sheet metal punching capabilities cover sheet sizes of up to 3,000 x 1,250 mm and thicknesses of up to 6.4 mm. Punching is particularly suitable for components requiring a high number of features or varied geometries. In addition to holes and cut-outs, the process can be used for forming, grooving, threading, ventilation grilles and small bends, allowing several operations to be combined efficiently within the same manufacturing process.
We carry out sheet metal bending using press brakes and panel benders capable of processing components up to 6,050 mm long. A wide selection of punches and dies allows us to produce different bend configurations and adapt the process to the requirements of each component. This versatility enables us to work with everything from straightforward parts to more complex components requiring greater precision.
V-Cut milling involves machining a linear V-shaped groove into the sheet to reduce its thickness along the bend line. This makes it possible to achieve very small bend radii and create a distinctive sharp-edge finish. We work with material thicknesses from 1 to 4 mm and lengths of up to 8 metres. The process enables highly complex bends to be produced in steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass.
We offer a range of laser, TIG, MIG and resistance welding technologies, alongside a TRUMPF robotic welding cell. Equipped with a KUKA robot, the cell delivers high levels of precision, reliability and repeatability. Laser welding offers high processing speeds and low heat input, significantly reducing the need for secondary operations such as polishing, deburring or distortion correction. We also weld structural components in accordance with UNE EN 1090-1.
Our compact laser engraving stations enable us to produce high-quality markings on components of different sizes, shapes and materials. The technology can reproduce a wide range of graphic content with a high degree of precision, making it suitable for component identification, customisation and marking. It provides a clean, accurate finish across a broad range of manufacturing applications.
We complement our manufacturing processes with finishing services such as countersinking, tapping and polishing, supplying parts either fully assembled or ready for assembly, depending on the requirements of each project. As part of KIMAK, we can also draw on the wider group’s capabilities to provide a coordinated solution for projects involving multiple stages of manufacture.
