"L´atelier"
KIMAK delivers the new flagship store for Lady Pipa at 33 Calle Lagasca, in the heart of Madrid’s Salamanca district. Distributed across two levels —ground floor and basement— the space has been conceived as a hybrid experience between retail and club culture.
Designed by El Departamento, the project translates the brand’s new retail positioning into a physical environment inspired by nightlife and party aesthetics.
THE NEW FASHION CLUB IN MADRID
On the ground floor, KIMAK delivers one of the project’s iconic features: the checkout area conceived as a large DJ booth welcoming visitors into the space. The composition includes a large back unit with integrated speakers and a simulated equalizer programmed to generate lighting effects synchronized with the ambient music.
As the central piece, the counter is built from transparent textured glass blocks with a backlit base, combined with a stainless-steel top and legs, evoking the aesthetic of a DJ table.
This festive and cinematic universe also extends into the fitting room area, featuring bespoke mirrors with dotted frontal lighting that reinterpret classic
dressing rooms.
The intervention is completed with the remaining custom furniture, garment racks, and decorative speakers.
“L’ATELIER”: THE HIDDEN ROOM
In the basement, the project evolves into a more immersive and sophisticated atmosphere, where KIMAK materializes “L’Atelier” through bespoke furniture and dark cathedral sapelli wood cladding. The warmth of the wood contrasts with the more technological and vibrant language of the main floor, adding depth and continuity to the brand experience.
The result is a highly expressive space where sound, lighting, stainless steel, and noble woods are seamlessly integrated to bring Lady Pipa’s new flagship concept to life.
